Exploring connections to the Tower Theatre in OKC

Many people from OKC have memories of this venue that bring up emotions. I’ve driven by it many times and stopped on a winter night to take a snap. We now have prints of Laurel’s painting of OKC’s beloved landmark, “The Tower Theatre." . There will be Eagles and Elton John tributes, along with shows that include Postmodern Jukebox, Kathleen Madigan and Cannons..

The Tower Theatre opened in 1937 when movies were hot — before VCR’s and streaming came to be. The Tower closed as a movie venue in 1989.
